NAIT’s Three Academic Terms

For ESL and Academic Upgrading programs through Continuing Education, NAIT offers intakes for all three terms. This means there are three separate opportunities per year to enroll in a program and become eligible for FLA funding.

Why it matters: The earlier you are registered in the system, the earlier you become eligible to receive the invitation. Students who register late may receive their invitation after continuing students have already claimed the available funds.

Before the Window Opens — Always

What to do:

• Create and verify your Alberta.ca Account if you have not already done so
• The verification process takes up to 10 days
• Have your Alberta Student Number (ASN), Social Insurance Number (SIN), and direct deposit banking information ready

Why it matters: If you receive the invitation email but have not yet verified your Alberta.ca Account, you cannot submit the application. By the time your account is verified, the funding may already be gone.
